MA in business, language and culture (negot)

International Multi-Expert in Economics, Languages and Culture

The increasingly global character of business and politics requires graduates who can communicate effectively across languages and cultures.
This programme gives you a profound knowledge of economics, communication and culture that enables you to be a key decision-maker in global organisations.
The programme combines economics, marketing and management with language, culture and communication.
You will be qualified to be an expert in international business, negotiation and intercultural communication.

The programme offers three specialization areas, each of which combines courses offered by strong and relevant research environments from the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences.

  1. The specialization in HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT predominantly focuses on managerial processes within organization.
  2. The specialization in MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION focuses on processes between an organization and its external environment.
  3. The specialization in INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS focuses mainly on the external environment of organizations and a more macro-oriented analysis of economic and cultural surroundings

The study programme is consciously geared towards the international work of businesses, the public sector or organisations. Below you can see the areas that become accessible with your chosen languages:

Arabic is spoken by more than 230 million people living in the area from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Gulf in the east, and from Syria in the north to Yemen in the south. This area constitutes a large and growing market for international trade and aid. Read more about the special Master’s Degree in Arabic by clicking here.

The importance of English reaches beyond the countries with English as their official language. The status as a world language is tied to the fact that many large organisations and multinationals use English as their official language. Globalisation and information society further strengthen the importance of English as a world language.

Spanish is a world language spoken by approx. 375 million people: approx. 40 million located in Spain, approx. 310 million in Latin America, and approx. 30 million in the USA. A common denominator for all these otherwise economically different countries is, that they all are in the middle of a rapid economic growth.

German. Germany is Denmark’s major trading partner, and German is used in the communication with Austria, Switzerland and some Eastern European countries. Danish Industry and Commerce has often pointed out the lack of employees that master German.

Graduates who have completed this master programme are entitled to use the title of MA (Master of arts) in business, language and culture.
